About the role

We're hiring a full-time Full Stack Engineer to join our fast-growing team in Helsinki.

You'll build the Autopilot that industrial operators use to run their hybrid energy systems 24/7. It's a full-stack role: real-time backend services processing data from industrial sites and power markets, and interfaces that turn complex optimisation and control decisions into a robust product operators rely on. You'll own features end-to-end, from technical design to production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop across the full stack: Build our product for running industrial energy operations on Autopilot, from responsive frontend to the backend services behind them.

• Design and implement technical projects independently: Own projects from technical design to production, using modern frontend frameworks, and TypeScript, Java and Python on the backend.

• Build robust backend services and integrations: Design the APIs, data models and services that connect Autopilot to power markets and real industrial assets in real time.

• Make complex systems easy to use: Turn optimisation results, forecasts and control decisions into fast, clear interfaces for our customers and our own operators.

• Define how we build: Shape our software development process in the agentic era; CI/CD pipelines, testing, observability and development practices.

• Raise the bar: Conduct code reviews, help other developers grow, shape the development team roadmap and share knowledge across teams.

• Solve real problems with cross-functional teams: Work closely with Product, Analytics and Operations to solve business and technology problems.

• Strong on both ends of the stack: You've built and shipped production-ready applications using modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React or Vue) and backend services using TypeScript, Java or Python.

• AI-native: We use agentic workflows and the latest AI tooling to accelerate everything we do at Intergrid. Building with AI isn't a skill you're developing, it's already how you work.

• High-agency builder: You take ownership, work independently, and ship and iterate fast.

• Curious learner: You seek and give candid feedback, learn fast, and keep improving both yourself and the way we work.

• Clear communicator: You work well with people from different backgrounds, explain technical topics clearly to different audiences, and communicate fluently in English.
